Follow these steps to release emails from the AppRiver (OpenText) Platform.
Hello! Try these steps to access the AppRiver Platform and choose what to keep on your spam email folder.
- Navigate to the AppRiver webpage URL: https://account.appriver.com/identity/login
- Scroll down to the bottom of the homepage and click on the “Forgot Password” link.
3. Enter your Sheltair Aviation email address and submit the password reset.
4. An auto response email will be sent from AppRiver to your mailbox.
5. Select the email and click on the provided link to reset your password.
6. Once you successfully log into AppRiver, select the page options and navigate to the spam folder via: Email Threat Protection > Quarantine > Spam Path
7. Once you click on the email and check the box the “Release” button will be highlighted then you will be able to click on “Release”
8. Then you might want to add the domain if it’s safe and then hit confirm.
Instructions for Handling False Positives:

Identify False Positives:
Example: You notice an email from “orders@trustedvendor.com” in your spam folder. Hover over the attachment link to see if it matches the format of previous legitimate emails from this vendor. If unsure, contact IT for guidance. -
Release Legitimate Emails:
Example: You find an email from “support@knownvendor.com” in the spam folder. Check the box next to the email and click the “Release” button. Verify the vendor’s legitimacy by checking their website or contacting them directly. -
Whitelist Senders:
Example: To prevent emails from “news@trustednewsletter.com” from being marked as spam in the future, add their email address to the whitelist within the AppRiver Portal. -
Report Issues:
Example: If you frequently find emails from “alerts@importantupdates.com” in your spam folder, report this issue to the IT Department. They can investigate and adjust the spam filter settings to reduce false positives.
