How to add or modify your Microsoft Authenticator or other Authentication Methods

If you have a new phone or want to add or remove a Microsoft Authentication method for your Microsoft Account, follow these steps:
- Open Outlook on the web through your preferred web browser (Chrome or Edge/Web Version)

- On the top right corner of the screen, click on your profile picture (see image below).
- Click on “View Account”.
- Click on “Security info”.
- On the next page you will be able to Change or Delete an existing sign-in method along with an option to Add a new sign-in method
- If you add a new sign-in method, the following options will be offered:
If choosing to add the Microsoft Authenticator app as a sign-in method, do the following:

Click on Microsoft Authenticator from the list to receive the following prompt:
- Select Download now to install the app (proceed to step 3 if already installed). A new page will open and offer different versions of the app. Use your phone's camera to scan the appropriate QR code according to your type of mobile device. Return to the previous page once installed.

If you already have the Microsoft Authenticator installed on your phone, select Next to display a QR code.

Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone and select the plus (+) icon and select Add account.

Select Work or school account then tap Scan a QR Code. Continue with the prompts on both the mobile device and on your computer's web browser to finalize setup and testing of the Authenticator.
Notes:

If you can't use your camera to scan a QR Code, click Can't scan the image on your PC and tap Enter code manually on your mobile.
